To kick off this new “Emblem” series, Fariboles needed a character that could count on! Chief Vitalstitistix himself describes him as his “most reliable” warrior, so there’s no hesitation: Asterix will be our standard-bearer!
I let myself be guided by this splendid drawing by Uderzo, whose strength I rediscover with wonder every time, and I took immense pleasure in sculpting him, firmly planted on his two legs and beaming with the honour of being so distinguished, irreducible among all the irreducibles!
